I believe that Denmark is the happiest country because of their co-housing and because of their free schooling. Co-housing allows for people to get the sense of community they need. It is important for a person to feel a part of something and even more important for them to have daily social interactions. Free collage allows for students to focus on their studies instead of worrying about were their next meal will be coming from because they are drowning in debt. Not only has Denmark provided a sense of community, it has all presented care for their citizens. By funding co-housing Denmark has showed their citizens that they can trust them and they will support them.

I believe Dan Price did something wonderful for his workers. Not only has he provided stability in their lives, but he has also provided trust. Making this move has allowed his employees to feel rewarded for the work they have put into it. Although I am all for his raises, I also believe that the people who had already worked their way up to earning $70,000 deserve a raise as well. It is unfair to promote everyone to their wage when they haven't put in the time and the energy the people making $70,000 have. I think that Dan made a good decision and showed appreciation for his employees but he needs to show appreciation to the employees that have already been at that set wage.

I believe the part that had the most impact on me was the section about Denmark and their co-housing. Denmark offers co-housing which means multiple families live on a land or in a building. In that home, they share chores and duties among each other. The co-housing unit in the movie had 20 families. The children explained it as a big family that gets to eat together every night. Each person only cooks one or two times a month. Once they turn 14, they begin assisting in the kitchen. I believe Denmark not only allows for the co-housing opportunity, but they also offer free college. I believe both of these acts impact the happiness of Denmark.

Imaginary Girlfriend: This app is completely outrageous. The overall purpose of this app is to make it look like you have a girlfriend. The app has a variety of girls to choose from. Once you choose a girl, you are then able to add them into any photo you have taken. I believe people use this app because there is a lot of pressure to be in a relationship. It also could be used as a joke.
MamaBear Family Safety: This app is made for overprotective parents. Although it does have some great aspects such as a panic button, it is outrageously overbearing. If my parents use this app I would be like absolutely not. Not because of the fact that they want to know what I'm up to, but because of the fact that they obviously cannot trust me enough to leave me alone for a couple hours. This app allows parents to see all social media updates from their children, see where they are located and a bunch more.

Essena O'Neil has an obsession with social media, she admitted it herself. This viral video is just another beg for attention. Although, I believe that her feelings are true, she feels worthless and sad, which is common when you are popular on social media because you begin to feel that people only like you for your your body. O'Neil is young and has a life ahead of her, she doesn't need to be crying for help from her followers on her website asking for help financially. O'Neil asking for money is making the whole situation look like a hoax. On the other hand, if O'Neil went through with disregarding all social media, she would seem more serious and genuine. Since she created a website and is asking for funding's, she looks fake. She is 19, she has the opportunity to find herself and find a career that doesn't make her feel so self-conscious.

Kathrine Bindley, author of the Huffington Post article, "When Children Text All Day, What Happens to Their Social Skills?", goes into to detail of the affects technology has had on children's social skills. I chose this article because it will be a great article to reference for my paper since my topic is the affects of technology on children. Katherine Bindley is an online media reporter, she graduated from Columbia University with her masters in journalism. Bindley's article is about how children are not going to be able to sit down in an interview and have a two-sided conversation, let alone be able to hold a conversation with someone they see everyday. Bindley's article goes into detail about how our children are loosing common communication skills because of the extended use of technology.
Cris Rowen, author ofHuffington Post article, "The Impact of Technology on The Developing Child", compares how 20 years ago, children grew up creating their own games and playing outside, while today, children are growing up in front of a television or playing games on a cell phone. I chose Rowen's article to support my essay because I liked how it brought up how my generations and generations before me grew up before technology was overused to the extreme. Rowen's article is reputable because she is a spokeswoman for "Are We Digital Dummies?", which has been featured on CBC TV. "Are We Digital Dummies?" is a documentary which touches base with how technology has affected childrens learning and social skills as a whole.
